My husband and I went to lunch at our local Chilis (Buena Park, CA) today 11/3/18. When my husband sat in the booth, his shorts got caught on a large, sharp spring sticking out of the booth seat.

Thank goodness, he got up before injuring his leg! We moved to another booth and told the Manager and server. They removed the seat. The Manager claims she said she was sorry, but if she did, I didn't hear her and she made no offer of anything until I complained again to the waiter.

She then came to our booth and said she would make it right by giving us a "discount." Later, she came again and said to order desert and we wouldn't be charged. I ordered one desert. When we received the bill, we didn't get an itemized bill showing what we ordered. I went online and made an order for everything we had which came to $23.57.

I couldn't find the drink I had on that list, but found it somewhere else and added the $8.00 bringing our total to $30.46. Our bill total was $36.98. We left a $6.00 tip. We were given NO discount and barely an apology!

We go to this location frequently and have had other issues. One time, our food was served to the table next to us. We had been waiting quite a while and they had arrived 10 minutes earlier, and got exactly what we ordered. We told our waiter and they said they were sorry and would get our order to us ASAP.

We told them we couldn't wait any longer. Unbelievably, they charged us for our drinks! Looking back, I wish we had stuck with our original intent to never go back, but we did and gave them another chance. We almost always get slow service, but hadn't had a problem like this until today.

I am so disappointed that I will be making a complaint on Facebook, Yelp, and anywhere else any of my friends can think of that I can complain. This kind of service is totally unacceptable!

The Manager said today was her first day in this location as she had been moved from another location. Regardless of this, your company needs to give your Managers, servers, and employees some training on customer service!

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $37.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Why did you deserve free food just because of a spring? You admitted your husband wasn't injured. I don't understand your entitlement here.
